reading for students
From Egg 🥚 to Chick 🐣🐥 Ms. A. Parker recently shared the exciting 21-day chick hatching process with our Meadowlake Mustangs! Students across all grade levels had the opportunity to watch the chicks hatch through a live YouTube stream and by visiting her classroom in person. Once the chicks hatched, every class was invited to meet and gently touch the chicks. In addition, each grade level selected a few special “Chick Ambassadors” who had the opportunity to hold a chick during this memorable learning experience. This hands-on activity gave students a fun and engaging way to learn about life cycles, growth, and animal care while creating lasting memories together. https://youtube.com/shorts/vPWnoF_XJNY?si=xH-12jvoX2QJbNKG

Dear Families, Meadowlake is getting ready for summer break! While this season brings plenty of time to relax, explore, and enjoy the sunshine, it's also a great opportunity to keep young minds active and growing. We encourage our students to continue their learning at home, and one easy (and fun!) way to do that is through reading. Sora is a free digital reading platform that gives your child access to a wide variety of ebooks and audiobooks anytime, anywhere-even when school is closed. Students can read on any device and even download books for offline enjoyment, making it perfect for travel or quiet time at home. From May 18 through August 24, 2026, students can also enjoy the Sora Sweet Reads program, which features a special collection of grade-appropriate ebooks and audiobooks. These titles will be easy to find in Sora and available for unlimited access all summer long! Students can simply log in using their school email address/password and start exploring our digital library right away. Happy Reading! Mrs. Fields Library Media Specialist

A blackboard with a message, a clock, bunting flags, and a t-shirt and shorts below it.
PACE students in Ms. Turberville's class became curators and docents at the Meadowlake Museum of Antiquities last week! 🏺✨ It was like traveling back in time as students explored ancient civilizations, shared their knowledge, and brought history to life through hands-on learning experiences. What an exciting time of discovery, creativity, and fun! Great job PACE students.
